This week’s video roundup: Chromeo, Bon Iver, Maluca & more

Published on August 19th, 2011

This week brought us a ton of new music videos, coming from the likes of everyone from Skrillex to Bon Iver to Red Hot Chili Peppers. Some are good, some are great, some are pretty weird. Check out a handful below.

“When The Night Falls” – Chromeo: Dave 1 and P-Thugg magically instantly knock up a bunch of ladies with their super funky tunes before speaking some rushed French in an elevator and making a risky escape. Solange Knowles also makes a guest appearance. Chromeo will be in town performing with Mayor Hawthorne at the Electric Factory on Halloween.

“Glow” – Lunice: The official video for the first track on Lunice’s new EP One Hunned, which dropped this past Tuesday.

“Holocene” – Bon Iver: Filmed in Iceland, directed by Nabil Elderkin. I’m not even a huge fan of the album, but this is great.

“Circles” – Digitalism: Digitalism killed it at HARD Tour at the Blockley last night, stay tuned for a review and photos coming soon. If you missed out, you can watch this video with some excellently edited live footage of the German duo.

“First of the Year (Equinox)” – Skrillex: Like OH MY GOD!

“The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie” – Red Hot Chili Peppers: Kreayshawn directed the original version of the video for this first single from RHCP’s upcoming album, I’m With You. That one was scrapped.

“Lola (Ging Danga)” – Maluca & The PartySquad: Mad Decent mademoiselle Maluca debuted this video just last night in NYC; like everything she does, it’s pretty crazy. Look for her on the Que Que Remix EP that’s due next week (previews here).
