SONGS AND VIDEOS OF THE DAY

Gonna get right to it…

All + All Together – Kano ft. Hot Chip <– I haven’t been listening to Hot Chip much recently, and this track makes me realize that I miss them. It combines verses from Kano with Hot Chip’s signature poppy sound to make for a catchy tune that gets stuck in your head pretty easily.

Hypnotize U – N.E.R.D. <– Produced by Daft Punk, this track from their upcoming Nothing is sort of a softer turn for N.E.R.D.. I had the chance to sit down and chat with Pharrell and Shay a few days ago, so be on the lookout for that to be posted soon.

Dissolve (Bloody Beetroots Remix) – The Chemical Brothers <– Bloody Beetroots + Chemical Brothers? Yes please.

I Need Air ft. Angela Hunte – Magnetic Man <– Being called the world’s “first dubstep supergroup”, Magnetic Man is comprised of heavy-hitters Benga, Skream, and Artwork. As you would expect, their self-titled debut LP is just plain sick. They’ve also got a great Essential Mix that I’m sure I’ll be posting in the near future.

Aaand now for the videos of the day. These are both awesome. First up, we have The xx incorporating a quiet version of Robin S.’s 90s hit ‘Show Me Love’ into their song ‘Shelter’.

Next up is more Magnetic Man. Here they are performing ‘Perfect Stranger’ with Katy D in London. It’s super interesting to see the three of them team up with a live singer and string section. Definitely worth a view.
