Show Preview: Twin Shadow + Sleigh Bells + Phantogram (7/20)

Published on July 3rd, 2012

If you’ve spent any time walking around downtown Philly over the past few weeks, then you’ve no doubt noticed the myriad of posters advertising what’s sure to be one of the biggest and most anticipated shows of the summer. On July 20th, rising indie-electronic stars Twin Shadow, Sleigh Bells and Phantogram will transform Festival Pier into one massively loud (not to mention massively hip) dance party that you won’t want to miss.

Brooklyn’s Twin Shadow is currently touring to promote his second album Confessions, set to drop with 4AD Records on July 10th. The buzz around this LP is already growing quickly, and just in case you’re new to Twin Shadow, you can check out one of his upcoming singles “Golden Light” below.

While Twin Shadow may be a relative newcomer to some, both Phantogram and Sleigh Bells have already firmly established themselves among the forerunners of the indie electronic-rock scene. Their critically acclaimed sophomore LPs (Nightlife and Reign of Terror, respectively) came out over six months ago, and both have been building a head of steam ever since. Below you can listen to one of my favorite cuts off of each album.

Tickets for this show are on sale now, be sure to grab them fast before it’s too late. Hope to see you all there! Cheers.
