Wassup world! I’ve put together a few tasty, juicy tracks for this inaugural installment of TNP’s ‘Fresh Fruit’ weekly mixcast. Now, I know this mix series is gonna get crazy, so I had to start it off with a bang. If you don’t find yourself uncontrollably saying ‘swag’ at some point while listening to this mix, then something is seriously wrong. This is a little something I like to call “ADVANCED TRAP MUSIC” – a rickety wooden bridge between Southern Hip-Hop and Dubstep. It all started one day when an EDM producer was raging to “Hard in the Paint.” He clumsily stubbed his toe, but, while writhing in pain, he stopped and realized: “Hey, I could actually make something like this.” The rest is history. My standout joint on here is Paris Artelli’s “B.A.B.” (you’ll find out what that stands for). The young man is from Philly, he’s rapping on the track AND he produced it.  Awesome.
